  • 2 min read

As part of my series about “individuals and organizations making an important social impact”, I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Nicole Martin.

Dr. Nicole Martin is a board-certified anesthesiologist and Attending Physician at the Lennar Foundation Medical Center, and an active member of several prestigious professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists. A recognized teacher and lecturer, she has co-authored several book chapters and numerous scientific articles. In 2021, she expanded her influence by joining the cast of “The Real Housewives” franchise in Miami, aiming to inspire young women with her journey as a self-made professional. Dr. Martin resides in Miami with her fiancé Anthony Lopez, their son Greyson, and their dog Maxwell.

Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series. Before we dive into our discussion about Exoceuticals, our readers would love to “get to know you” a bit better. Can you share with us the backstory about what brought you to your specific career path?

Asa physician, I’ve always been passionate about health and wellness. Since medical school, I’ve been a science geek, and my curiosity always drove me to look at research and data to figure things out. When I started noticing subtle signs of aging in my skin, I delved into the latest studies and developments in skincare. My research led me to exosomes, a groundbreaking field in regenerative medicine. Through this journey, I connected with Dr. Robin Smith, a visionary in biotech and regenerative medicine, which eventually led to my involvement with Exoceuticals. My passion for exosome research and skincare grew from there, combining my medical background with innovative skincare solutions.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started your career?

One of the most interesting stories was when I first met Dr. Robin Smith. Her enthusiasm and knowledge about exosomes were contagious. During our initial meeting, she explained how exosomes could revolutionize skincare. I was so inspired that I spent the entire night reading research papers she recommended. That moment marked a turning point in my career, steering me towards the exciting and innovative path of exosome-based skincare. It was fascinating to realize the potential of these tiny vesicles and how they could change the way we approach skin health and regeneration.
